IYM Corp.'s distinctive Mellophone Mouthpiece was designed in collaboration with the Grammy-nominated arranger/composer/lyricist/musician. This mouthpiece is unique in look and feel and is specifically designed for the marching mellophone. Form and function were designed at the same time. The truly heavy mass design of the IYM mouthpiece contibutes to effortless playing. It produces a rich, orchestral French Horn timbre with comfort and stability that has been so elusive until now. The IYM mellophone mouthpiece has excellent range, projection and articulation to deliver accurate note placement while maintaining a centered pitch in all registers. The mouthpiece is an important resource that contributes to the artistic excellence of arrangers and musicians.

The heavy weight design makes the horn more balanced and easier to carry. It also results in far fewer hand/carpal injuries so common with mellophone players, especially young women. These are important musical and physical advantages not possible with any other mellophone mouthpiece.

IYM mouthpieces are plated with 2 to 4 times more silver than used by others companies. This means that you get a higher quality product with a surface which will last longer. When thin plating wears off, it exposes the player to the base metal which is not recommended as a playing surface. Better plating will provide better grip, a smoother surface for a longer time, will greatly reduce re-plating costs and the inconvenience of being without your mouthpiece for any length of time.

TRIAL POLICY: Because of high demand and recent abuses, in order to make a trial of this mouthpiece, full payment is needed. A trial period of 14 days will be allowed from the date of your receipt. The mouthpiece must be returned to us in COMPLETELY ORIGINAL condition at your expense (no scratches or other marks). Any late returns or damage of any kind will result in forfeit of the purchase price in full. Timely returns within the 14 day period will be charged for shipping and handling costs of $6 plus a 25% restocking charge prior to any refund.
