The heavy mass design channels the player's energy efficiently into the horn while reducing fatigue and bruising. Note placement is clear, accurate and with centered pitch. The combination of design elements results in producing a full, rounded orchestral tone while delivering the full range of the instrument with clarity not available elsewhere. The full range of the horn is now opened up while improving intonation to add dramatically to the brass choir.

IYM's MAXIMUS mouthpieces receive 2 to 4 times more silver plating than other manufacturers' products. This results in a better grip and a longer lasting finish that does not require frequent, costly and inconvenient re-plating.
